Proving that she too is out of touch with the base of the Republican party, Meghan McCain is out defending Liz Cheney from a possible ouster from her leadership position.
What Meghan fails to realize, is that Cheney’s ouster is less about Trump and more about what Cheney should be doing now that the election is over. It’s more about what Cheney should be doing BESIDES seeming to talk about Trump all the time as Ben Shapiro points out below. And just as an aside, it’s pretty damn rich of Meghan McCain to complain about losing a Senate seat in Arizona to a Democrat candidate WHEN CINDY MCCAIN WENT OUT WITH JEFF FLAKE TO ENDORSE JOE BIDEN. But I digress….
Here’s the clip of Shapiro speaking on Cheney. It’s a bit long, but worth it.
Cheney needs to focus more on what the Republican leadership should be trying to do for its base, not following the left leaning media’s yelling “squirrel!” in order to obfuscate from what it currently going on with the Biden administration.
To be honest, at this point, I personally don’t care about keeping the Republican party together any longer. The party has been at war within itself for years now. The priorities of leadership no longer align with the base (take the war in Afghanistan for example). The arguing is over, it’s time for a divorce and let the chips fall where they may.
